Research Interests

Before coming to IU, Paul used a combination of global climate model data and observations to research recent past, present, and future ocean circulation, ocean temperature, and atmospheric dynamics as they relate to global and regional sea level rise and climate change.  Since arriving at IU, he has become an expert in simulations of marine cloud brightening and is working on subseasonal-to-seasonal predictability.  He has also developed a K-12 teaching module for geoengineering that teachers can use in their classrooms.
